Gosford Waterfront Development

“Revitalizing the regional capital”

The development centered around two catalyst projects that would revitalize regional capital. The first was the redevelopment of Gosford’s waterfront, an underutilized amenity that could attract tourists and residents alike. The redevelopment would include hospitality, retail, office developments and walkable residential with large recreation amenities.

The second catalyst was a transit-oriented development. Trains and buses would operate on the lower levels in a new state-of-the-art transit hub, with retail opportunities at street level and high rise residential and office towers above. The overall development would be a new node of density at the heart of the city, a waterfront district that maximizes the serene estuarine setting and the renewal of Mann Street to connect the two.

All successful developments need a central core, so whilst we have a boardwalk that transcends the entire shoreline, together with retail and recreational outlets to ensure we reactivate the space, the Performing Arts Centre, Hotel and Conference Centre are at the heart of this development. This will be a true regional attraction that will allow events and shows, previously restricted to the centre of Sydney, to take place in our region.
