Spark Arena

New Zealand’s First Major P3 Deal

Spark Arena is New Zealand’s first major Public-Private-Partnership (P3) development. Working closely with the Auckland City Council and the indigenous Maori, Ngati Whatua o Orakei,  the landmark arena surpassed the expectations for the site and the community. The 12,000-seat, state-of-the-art multi-functional facility is Auckland’s indoor venue capable of hosting events that range from major international concerts to family shows, conferences and a variety of sporting events.

The Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) proposal, complete with costs, designs and financing, was  completed in three months.
